Happy Holidays from
ServiceMaster Building Maintenance
It's Time to Give Back

As 2009 draws to a close and the time of year approached for Thanksgiving and Holiday cards, our staff at ServiceMaster Building Maintenance agreed that given the difficult times many people in our community are facing, our resources would be better spent trying to help those in need.  Earlier this week, staff from both our Madison and Appleton offices purchased and delivered food to six community & food pantry organizations in both the Madison and Fox Valley areas.  The money donated toward food is enough to provide over 14,000 meals to members of our community!  Read below to learn more about the organizations who received donations from ServiceMaster.

Isauro, Jorge, Jackie, and Kathy from our Madison office delivered food to the Goodman Community Center.  The Center runs many activities and programs for residents ofGoodman Madison's near east side, including fitness classes, senior programs, teen and youth programs, a food pantry, parent & family programs, among others.

Pauls2Paul's Pantry, Green Bay.  Heather and Kelly from our Appleton office delivered food to this pantry, which celebrated 25 years in operation this year and assists those in need from Brown County.  Depending on family size, visitors can utilize the pantry up to three times per week.  This pantry runs solely on private community donations.

St Vincent

St. Vincent de Paul also received food donations.  Being the largest pantry in Dane County, it is open five days per week and provides people and families in need with three days of groceries each time they visit.  Last year alone, over $1,100,000 worth of food was donated.  Learn more here.

The Fox Cities Salvation Army serves members of theSalvation communities of Appleton, Menasha, Neenah, Kimberly, Little & Grand Chute, and surrounding communities.  Through their food program, they helped feed over 53,000 meals to families in 2008. For more information, click here.

ServiceMaster also donated to Father Carr's Place 2B, a privately Father Carrfunded organization in Oshkosh that provides food , shelter, and medical services to individuals in need.  This non-profit began as a youth center in 1974 and has evolved to encompass and provide many services.

Centro Hispano serves the Latino community in Madison, providing youth, cultural, educational, and social servicesCentro programs.  Located on the south side of Madison, it helped over 5000 community members in 2007 alone.  It runs a food pantry that helps between 150-200 individuals and families weekly.

At this time of year, we once again want to thank all those who work with us and contribute to our continued effort to provide excellent service to our clients.
